Sunnybank was untroubled in beating Wests 37-14 at Oldmac Oval, scoring six tries in the process.
Defensive lapses by Wests enabled the Dragons to go to a 15-0 lead at halftime and the young Dragons never looked threatened by a Bulldogs side still trying to find its feet under new coach Rob Murdoch.
Murdoch said he was pleased with his side's progress despite the final scoreline.
“There were periods of the game where we dominated, which was a great improvement on last week," he said.
Sunnybank coach Rob Nowlan was happy with the score board but sees plenty of room for improvement.
“We have a good young side but they are going to have to be tougher in the ruck if we want to play against the bigger teams.” he said.
