Brisbane Competitions

Brisbane Rugby clubs compete in Divisions based on the number of teams they nominate. This concept allows for the growth and progression of clubs through the divisions. 

Wherever possible, teams from a club in the same division will play at the same venue, against the same opposition, at adjacent times.

In 2008 there were 12 different competitions played in Brisbane, starting with the Bartercard 1st Grade competition, which is separate from the Queensland Premier Rugby tournament.

* The Pegg and Scotney Cup Competitions were combined at the start of the 2008 season, splitting into two separate Competitions for the last 10 weeks of competitions and final series.

** The Normanby and Wyatt Cup Competitions were combined at the start of the 2008 season, splitting into two separate competitions for the last 10 weeks of competition and final series.
