Coach Re-accreditation

It is important for all coaches to maintain their coaching accreditation.  Accreditation lasts four years and if coaches wish to maintain their accreditation they are required to meet the ARU re-accreditation requirement. Once completed, the coach's accreditation is updated for another four years.

Level 1 Coach

  1. SmartRugby Compliance (current qualification)
  2. Complete Exam - Law & Safety (90% pass)
  3. Complete Code of Conduct
  4. Complete the Update Form
  5. Cost: Free

Note: Coaches are required to have coached 2/3 out of the four years to maintain accreditation. If they have not completed this then they may be asked to complete a field assessment at a training session

Level 2 Coach

  1. SmartRugby Compliance (current qualification)
  2. Complete Exam - Law & Safety (90% pass)
  3. Complete the Update Form & Code of Conduct 
  4. Complete Coaching Diary or attendance at a Advanced Coaching Seminar
    • Season Plan
    • Training Session (8 - 10)
    • Season Review
  5. Cost: Free

Note: Coaches are required to have coached three out of the four years to maintain accreditation. If they have not completed this then they may be asked to complete a field assessment at a training session

Level 3 Coach
